Annie Geraldine Savage Wellborn- Born.1928, grew up in Lexington, Georgia. Annie Wellborn is one of the most important living American Folk artists. Annie has painted thousands of paintings she refers to as Memory Paintings featuring scenes and subjects she remembers from her childhood. She is also considered a visionary artist. She says the Lord revealed the future to her and she sees visions, which she later paints. Her visions include angels that have flown over her bed and fireballs that appear to her before the death of loved ones. She is also known for her memory paintings of her childhood events.She paints using acrylics on board, tar paper, wallpaper, and canvas board. She uses "anything I can paint on and with."She is featured in the Rosenak collector's guide and is part of the Georgia Museum and New York Historical Association in Cooperstown collections. Size- 20"X27" Material-acrylic on black vinyl. Photo of artist holding work included.
