R.A. Miller was born in 1912, in Rabbbitown, Georgia and passed away in 2006. He worked most of his childhood and adult years in a textile mill not far from his family home-sted. Because his father was murdered a month before he was born, he had to go to work at an early age, not being able to go to school many years. In his old age, he began to make Whirligigs and decorating a hill near his house. The lead singer from REM, an Athens, Georgia rock group, heard about the environment and took photos of RA with his gigs. This later was used on album covers and a music video was shot at his house. RA soon became world famous artist collected both in this country and Europe. He is know for his simple rendition of people, animals and religious images. He was an "old-time" preacher for many years and the Bible was the only book he ever read. In perfect condition, singed and I bought it directly from RA at his home. Enamel paint on tin, signed, ready to hang, signed and I bought this directly from RA-9"X26".
