25"X27" Framed, ready to hang, acrylic on Plywood: Born in 1972, in Alabama. For most of Michael’s life, he lived with his mother in government housing. He attended elementary thru high school in Alabama and received limited exposure to art during his school years. It was during high school that Michael started painting, doing his ‘own thing’ and outside of becoming an accomplished self-taught artist , he excelled in athletics. National Exhibitions & art events: Widely exhibited in his home state of Alabama as well as Atlanta, Denver and New York. Kentuck Folk Art Festival in North Port, AL (2005,2006). 2007, January, at the Outsider Art Fair in NYC, Banks had a sell-out show. 2005, A solo exhibition at the Hurn Museum in Savannah, Georgia. 2007, Upcoming exhibit in Mobile, Alabama.
