Marie was born in Good Hope, Georgia in 1940, picked cotton as a child and married at the age of 15 years old, having four children. After 41 years of marrage and raising her children, Marie found her self divorced and alone. She stared painting in 1996, as a creative outlet and to have something to occupy her time. She has been publised in Southern Living and other publications and received many awards for her "Georgia memory painting". Framed by the artist acrylic on masonite and ready to hang. Along with painting I will include a photo of Artist with this piece. Size- 10"X12"
