Geraldine Smith is a self-taught artist from South Carolina and is known for her landscapes of rural, southern scenes. She was inspired to start painting after watching people paint on TV, but she soon developed her own style. She was born on a tobacco farm in Trenton, North Carolina and paints those vivid memories of life on the farm. She credits the Lord for her gift of memory adn her ability to transport those memories on to canvas. During a recent appearance on South Carolina Educational TV she stated " I am guided by God and He is my personal inspiration and he paints within my soul. " this is acrylic on 24"X20" stretched canvas, signed and I bought it direcltly from Geradine.
