We first sold art from our home and in 2005 we opened our gallery in Hendersonville, North Carolina. The gallery specializes in art produced by self-taught artists from the American South, with an emphasis on art created by African-American and Appalachian artists. We have traveled thousands of miles across the South buying art directly from the artist. We do not take consignment work and make sure the artists are paid a fair price for their art. We feel it is important to support the southern folk artist, as they record and present their views of this unique culture.

Whether you are looking for a gift or to invest in an established artist, we can be of help. In most cases we furnish a biography of the artist and photos we have taken of the artist with his/her work in order to document the provenance of the work. We feature art by over 100 artists and are unable to post all the work on this website, so feel free to contact us with any questions.

We accept all major credit cards, personal checks (with driver's license number) or money orders. We also offer gift certificates for any amount over $100.00 and ship worldwide to Canada, Europe, Japan and Australia.

There is a minimum shipping charge of $9.95, which may cover all shipment charges, but because of weight and distance, other charges may be added. Let me know if you would like insurance, it is $1.50 per $100.00.
